One of the first jobs I had out of school was only barely related to what I studied. It was not that tough, but I wasn’t prepared for nine to five life. I had tons of flexibility in varsity, and like most my age, I really liked to sleep. When I all of a sudden did not get the quantity of sleep I required, I was always beat at work.
We worked in the basement of the building, and there wasn’t a lot of natural light. Instead, we had the common fluorescent bulbs hanging over our heads. However, when I had to use the light table to go through slides, the room around me was dark, and the sole light I had came from the light table. This made it way easier to see the slides, and establish if there had been any damage to that slide. What I did not know was this was when my shortage of sleep would catch up with me. There had been something about the dark room and the light coming from the light table that made me highly attempted, and I slipped asleep numerous times while sitting there. That was weird for me, as I never go to sleep anywhere, even when I am knackered. My manager came over and thought I was sick, and sent me home for the day. After that, I made sure I had a lamp for some additional light on the side while I was working so the same did not occur again. It permitted me to see the tiny scratches that could have otherwise gone unobserved. It’s regularly a waste of your time and cash to make prints from things that have defects, and often, you can see those defects till after printing, or if you’ve got the use of a light table. Simply make sure you’ve got a lot of sleep and some caffeine on stand-by when it is time to use one.
